GREAT PUBLIC SUCCESS AT THE FLORAL EXHIBITION AT THE CASTLE

Last Sunday, 23rd August, the floral exhibition «Torna la Primavera» (Turn of the Spring), which has been on display at Benissanó Castle for four days, came to an end. This joint initiative between the Diputació de València, the Valencian florists’ guilds and different town councils, such as Benissanó, has embellished the different rooms and corners of this beautiful Renaissance monument with its best creative proposals.

During these four days, the approximately 1,000 visitors who came to contemplate these floral compositions, and who entered free of charge, were able to enjoy all the compositions on display there, as well as the visit to the castle, in addition to some surprises such as the performance of a musical trio on Saturday afternoon, which made the visit to the exhibition more enjoyable.

Rafa Navarro, Councillor for Tourism and Heritage of Benissanó Town Hall, was very satisfied with the way this event was carried out and wanted to publicly thank the Valencia Provincial Council and each and every one of the participants in this initiative designed to help the florist sector in the Region who have suffered and much of the serious effects caused by the COVID-19. «From the Town Hall we are very satisfied with the great reception that this initiative has had and which has resulted in the visit of 984 people, a number of visitors well above what we had anticipated». On the other hand, thanks to the Diputació and the municipal contribution of around 4,000 euros, we have managed to help the Valencian florist sector, local commerce (all the materials used in this event have been purchased from local companies and businesses) and as if that were not enough, we have given a tourist boost to our castle thanks to the visit of almost a thousand people». «Without a doubt, we can speak of a great success in all senses», said Councillor Rafa Navarro.
